The Coldest Night of the Year – February 22, 2020

On February 22, 2020, Collingwood was the scene of a wonderful celebration. This is the night that the people of South Georgian Bay can participate in a 2, 5 or 10 km winter walk hosted in 120+ cities across Canada for the “Coldest Night of the Year”. The Coldest Night of the Year is a super-fun, family-friendly walking fundraiser that raises money for the hungry, homeless and hurting. 2018 was a record year for Collingwood and we raised just under $50,000 in support of our youth programs. The Coldest Night of the Year – February 24, 2018

Bowls for Beds – April 14, 2019

This year was a huge success! We had over 500 people join us at the Georgian Bay Hotel & Conference Centre to sample soups from 22 local restaurants and chefs in South Georgian Bay. In preparation for the event, local school children learned about homelessness in our community and painted the bowls for the event. A huge thank you to our restaurants & chefs; our participating schools; silent auction donors; sponsors; volunteers and attendees for making this such an incredible success!!
